TallyFolio is a personal tracking tool. Budgets, forecasts, reports, registered-plan estimates, income-tax estimates, payroll withholding assessments, portfolio and fund holdings figures, and optional AI explanations are not financial advice, tax advice, investment advice, or legal advice.

Decisions about saving, investing, contributing to registered plans, or filing taxes should be made with a qualified professional, not on the basis of TallyFolio alone.

TallyFolio does not connect to the Canada Revenue Agency or any government system. It does not file taxes, submit information to the CRA, or validate figures against any official record.

TFSA, RRSP, and FHSA contribution-room figures shown in TallyFolio are personal estimates calculated from the records you enter. They are not pulled from, synced with, or verified against the CRA or any financial institution.

You are responsible for verifying your official contribution room directly with the CRA before making contribution decisions.

Estimated federal and provincial income tax, RRSP deduction sequencing, suggested contribution splits, and payroll withholding assessments are personal estimates computed from rate tables maintained by hand and from figures you entered yourself.

They are not filing-grade, are never checked against any tax authority, and model only a limited set of income and credits. A tax year whose rates have not been entered is shown as unavailable rather than estimated. Use them to compare your own scenarios, not to decide what to report on a return.

Positions, look-through exposure, currency exposure, and fund overlap describe the files you imported, as of the dates those files carry. They are not a valuation, not a performance record, not a benchmark, and never a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or rebalance. Holdings that could not be valued, and currencies with no exchange rate you entered, are reported as excluded rather than assumed.

TallyFolio calculates figures deterministically from the data you provide. It cannot verify whether the transactions, balances, or records you enter or import are accurate or complete.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, and for independently verifying any official records — including bank statements, brokerage statements, and CRA contribution limits — before relying on them for financial decisions.

CSV and ZIP exports are provided as a convenience so you can keep a copy of your own data. Exports are not a guarantee of completeness or a substitute for maintaining independent backups of your financial records.

If you enable optional AI explanations, they are provided for informational purposes only. AI explanations describe figures that have already been calculated deterministically — they do not constitute advice, and they do not change or recalculate any financial value.
