2 questionsHow does the forecast work?
Does TallyFolio calculate taxes?
It estimates; it does not file. TallyFolio computes estimated federal and provincial income tax from rate tables kept current by hand, so you can compare your own scenarios — which year to claim an RRSP deduction in, or whether the year's payroll withholding is running ahead or behind.
Nothing is filed, nothing is checked with the CRA or Revenu Québec, and a tax year whose rates have not been entered reads as unavailable rather than producing a number. It is not tax software and not a substitute for professional advice.
Registered plans
2 questionsCan I track TFSA, RRSP, or FHSA contribution room?
Yes. TallyFolio tracks contribution room as a personal estimate based on records you enter yourself.
Is my registered-plan room official?
Investments and payslips
3 questionsCan TallyFolio show what my funds actually hold?
Does this recommend what to buy or sell?
No. Every portfolio figure is descriptive — there is no score, no benchmark, and no suggestion to buy, sell, hold, or rebalance. TallyFolio does not give investment advice and does not project returns.
